Link Exchange Manager
The BungeeBones Personal Link Exchange Manager (PLE Mgr) is a Free self
contained open source PHP script, released under the GNU license that aids
website managers and designers to create link display blocks for placement of
the blocks of links in their web pages in a style similar to Pay Per Click
advertising.
Among its features:
- Self contained - stores its results in regular text files so no database
access or knowledge is required
- Produces HTML results - link displays are created in HTML code for easy
placement on webpages
- Multiple display options - link displays can be anything from single
column vertical displays (for placement in right or left page columns) to
multi-column single row horizontal displays (for placement in top or bottom
page margins) to any combination of multi-column/multi-row display blocks
- Display options are saved for re-use
- Organizes and stores displays by category (you can create unlimited
categories)
- Each line of link display (category name, title, description and/or http
url) are optional to include in display
- Each line of link display (category name, title, description and/or http
url) are individually formatted in standard html (controls for font style,
color size, bold, underline italicize)
- Formatting is saved for repeated use, even across different shaped and
sized displays
- All formatting and display shapes are easily editable
- Use for reciprocal or non-reciprocal links
- Can check for reciprocal links on remote websites
- If a scripting language is used to "include" the html code into a page,
the manager can update all displays from its control panel.
- Non-scripted placement can be accomplished by easy "copy and paste" of the
html code into a page
